Who I am

Lifelong Passion Meets Science-Based Results.

My name is Jordan Sater, and I’ve been a "horse girl" for as long as I can remember. My journey began in the rhythm of the seasons: fox hunting through the crisp fall and winter, followed by the high energy of eventing and hunter/jumper shows in the spring and summer. While life took me in different directions for a time, my heart never left the barn.

Six years ago, I finally dove back into "horse life" full-time. Today, my days are shaped by two very different partners: a sweet, retired gelding who patiently helped me rediscover my confidence in the saddle, and a spicy mare who keeps me on my toes and challenges me to be a better horsewoman every single day.

The Search for Something Better

Having experienced the physical demands of various disciplines firsthand, I was always intrigued by the potential of equine massage. However, as I researched different certification programs over the years, I found myself unimpressed. I was looking for more than just a surface-level rubdown; I wanted a method that was innovative, science-based, and truly effective.

A New Standard in Care

Everything changed when I discovered Freely Forward Bodywork. Their approach to myofascial release (MFR) resonated with me immediately. Unlike traditional massage, this method:

  • Targets the Root Cause: Focuses on the fascial system—the connective tissue encasing the muscles—to address deep-seated tension rather than just symptoms.

  • Uses Sustained Pressure: Employs gentle, slow pressure to elongate tissue and restore range of motion.

  • Prioritizes the Horse’s Voice: Focuses on the horse's physiological "releases" (like licking, chewing, or yawning) to ensure a comfortable and effective session.

When the opportunity arose to become a certified practitioner, I didn't hesitate. Today, I am a proud to bring these innovative techniques to your barn, helping your horses find the same comfort and fluidity that I strive for with my own.
